Stafford, who received the 2013 STAR (Sharing Time and Resources) Award for volunteer manager of the year, has been the volunteer and community resources manager at the Air Zoo for the past 14 years and is in charge of 200 volunteers.
 
“Every volunteer is different and that can be challenging, but it is always rewarding,” Stafford said.
 
Stafford said she enjoys many aspects of her job, but her favorite part is interacting with the volunteers. 
 
“I love joining in with the volunteers and getting their ideas on things,” Stafford said.
