Cayuga, ON — Ontario Provincial Police say a two people escaped injuries when the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum‘s Westland Lysander was forced to land in a field in near Cayuga.

Police say the aircraft developed engine trouble after taking off from Hamilton Airport on Saturday afternoon.
The single engine plane sustained serious damage when it landed in a field but police say the pilot, a 61-year-old Haldimand County man, and his 61-year-old female passenger from Newington, England were not injured.
The National Transportation Safety Board was contacted and advised of the situation.
