Historic Flight Foundation was established in 2003 as “John T. Sessions Historic Aircraft Foundation” with the intention to collect, restore, and share significant aircraft from the period between the solo Atlantic crossing of Charles Lindbergh and the first test flight of the Boeing 707. Throughout the intervening years, Historic Flight has acquired at least two aircraft annually and engaged the best restoration resources available to return the collection to original splendor.
The Palm Springs Air Museum is home to one of the world’s largest collections of flyable WWII aircraft; and our air-conditioned hangars have no ropes to keep you from interacting with our exhibits. Our extensive library and our crew of trained volunteers can provide you details on the aircraft and a sense of the experience of flying them.
Our primary purpose is to provide facilities and displays for the education of visitors, including children, and to encourage the enjoyment of aviation. Our main focus is aviation history, both in general, and as it pertains to the unique Santa Paula Airport and its rich history of pilots and others associated with it.
The Connecticut Air & Space Center is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation dedicated to honoring the pioneers of early aviation, restoring and preserving examples of the aircraft they flew, and educating current and future generations about Connecticut’s unique aviation heritage. The Center relies on volunteers who painstakingly piece together these aircraft and on the donations it receives from those in the public and private sectors.
