The Foynes Flying Boat Museum is dedicated to recalling that historic time from 1939 to 1945, when Foynes, Ireland, became the center of the aviation world. On July 9th 1939, Pan Am’s luxury Flying Boat, the “Yankee Clipper” landed at Foynes. This was the first commercial passenger flight on a direct route from the USA to Europe.
Imagine soaring like a bird through the skies. The overwhelming feeling of power and speed, the wind rushing by as you dip a wing and dive to skim just over the tree tops. This was the appeal of the aircraft from before its birth in America in 1903. Aviators were lured by the majesty of the heavens and the feeling of freedom aircraft symbolize.

The creation of Classic Flyers was funded entirely by these individuals who shared a dream. A venture created by New Zealanders for New Zealanders. As a non-commercial Trust, whatever we make from the museum, on site cafe & shop, and our events goes back into preserving our aviation heritage.
The Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum has the largest collection of flyable vintage and sport aircraft in Maryland Heights Missouri.
Proudly displaying a vintage aircraft collection started by Jack Erickson in the 1980’s. The collection features over 20 rare aircraft, most of which are still in flying condition. Featuring P-38 Lightning, P-51 Mustang, FW -190, B-17 Flying Fortress, F4U Corsair, B-25 Mitchell, Ki43 Hayabusa, 1938 Bellanca Aircruiser and Many more!
The Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, interprets the impact of technological change in transportation, aviation, agriculture and industry from the 1890s to the present.
