It was due to arrive earlier in the year but was delayed due to weather conditions.
Museum President Cameron Elmes is happy to finally have the aircraft on the Sunshine Coast.
“We’re over the moon,” he said.
“There’s about 60 of us volunteers here and it’s like Christmas for us.”
The aircraft made it’s way from Amberley at 2am this morning (Tuesday) by two semi-trailers, one holding the body of the aircraft and the other the wings.
