Ashland, Nebraska USA — The Strategic Air and Space Museum is dishing out chili, planes and more on Saturday.
The event, which is included in the museum’s admission price, will provide hours of high-flying family fun, organizers said in a news release.
The activities include: aerobatic demonstrations by the Orbiting Eagles and Omahawks; static displays of aircraft, paragliders, hang gliders; radio-controlled planes and a kids’ paper airplane contest.
The chili cook-off will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the people’s choice award presented at 2 p.m.
Admission fees are: adults, $12; seniors and active-retired military, $11; children 4 to 12, $6; children 3 and under. Museum members are free.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The museum is just off Interstate 80, exit 426, between Lincoln and Omaha.
