Witchita, Kansas USA — The Kansas Aviation Museum this week announced it will be opening a new Boeing-sponsored learning center in March. Lon Smith’s, the museum’s executive director, excitement was hard to contain.
“We’re really on a roll here. We’ve accomplished a lot in the last year,” he said. “But this is a real game-changer for us.”
The roughly 4,000-square-foot center was about a $90,000 project, and Boeing took the naming rights as the project’s largest contributor. It will include flight simulators, a weather station, learning stations and a mock control tower.
