SEATTLE, March 29, 2013–The Museum of Flight is hosting the Northwest’s first “SpaceUp” symposium April 13-14, with a weekend devoted to assessing, plotting and pondering the future of commercial space exploration.
SpaceUp “unconferences” are open-ended meetings held in major cities around the world to focus attention on space exploration. SpaceUp Seattle is an interactive conversation about the cutting-edge evolution of commercial space flight. The event is open to space enthusiasts of all ages.
Commercial spaceflight businesses and organizations scheduled to attend include Blue Origin, Space X, Planetary Resources, Commercial Spaceflight Federation, and The Boeing Company: Defense, Space and Security. On April 13, the special guest is two-time space shuttle astronaut and SpaceX senior engineer Garrett Reisman. Everyone at SpaceUp is encouraged to give a talk, moderate a panel or start a discussion.
