Seattle, WA — The Museum of Flight received a record $30 million Thursday to expand its education programs from serving 1,000 students a year today to 5,000 by 2019.
The donation includes $15 million from the Boeing Company and another $15 million from Bill Boeing, Jr. and his wife June. Boeing Jr. has long been a supporter of the museum and the couple discussed their donation before his death in January.

The donation establishes the Boeing Academy for STEM Learning. STEM stands for Science, Technology Engineering and Math.
