Conference Overview

Mutual Concerns is a unique, international meeting specifically focused on the needs of the air and space museum community. The conference features three days of panel discussions and concurrent sessions. Serving both large and small museums, the conference this year will center on the theme of What is Museum Professionalism? and will feature several plenary sessions on this theme, along with other important topics facing museum — like risk management, digitization programs, fundraising and generative boards, hanging artifacts, and collection management basics.

The meeting is designed to give participants ample learning opportunities as well meaningful and educational time at the Museum of Flight. The conference is also an opportunity to network with colleagues from around the world. More than 100 museum and museum-related organizations attend annually.

The meeting hosts a small Marketplace with exhibitors who offer special services or experience to air and space museums. The Marketplace venue and set-up allows participants to have ample time to get to know Marketplace exhibitors and their services.
