Fargo, ND USA — The Fargo Air Museum opened its hangar today, welcoming in a belated Christmas gift.

Kirk Lindberg, of Inver Grove Heights, landed the 1994 Velocity plane at its new permanent home. After nearly 20 years flying the craft around the country, Lindberg donated the plane to the museum.

He says he recently got a new plane, and knew this one wouldn’t get as much use.

Lindberg says, “It seemed a shame to just have it sitting there in the hangar collecting dust. It was too nice of an airplane for that. And so, we thought this would be a neat way to give something back to the aviation community that we’ve gotten so much out of.”
