We are looking for people who have an outgoing personality, a general love of history, enjoy meeting new people, want to belong to a great organization as it is grows. We need volunteers for the following:
Front Desk: (welcome the visitors as they enter the Museum), answer questions about what is on display and the museum in general, monitor the simulator – TRAINING MATERIAL will be provided as well as time to learn.
Gift Shop Cashier: (this is a small area in the Museum) ring up purchases through a computerized cash register, replenish stock – TRAINING MATERIAL will be provided as well as time to learn.
Tour Guides (Docents): Take individuals and/or groups around the Museum, answer questions about display items and the Museum (in general) – TRAINING MATERIAL will be provided as well as time to learn.
Hours of the Museum: Wednesday through Friday, 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. (Staff usually arrives about 30 minutes prior to opening and usually leaves once the Museum closes).
